Welcome to Vidya Foundation, Cochin

Vidya Foundation, Cochin is a voluntary group formed out of a noble cause, registered as a Charitable Public Trust in 2011- to educate poor students who are in need of support and motivation. The Foundation provides everything required for an intensive learning programme, which leads to better career building.

The students under this initiative are selected when they are in class 8th, based on their intelligence, performance and income of parents – the whole process monitored with the help of a local mentor in the respective school/area. The Foundation then caters to the needs of these students upto class 12th to enable them to score high marks and get admission for a good course after 12th. The initiative covers only Govt. Schools and Aided Schools in the State of Kerala. Now the foundation has 160 students on its roll in various schools.

This idea was initiated by a group of bankers, young executives, academicians and a few other philanthropists who believe that everybody has a social responsibility to do something to the society, especially to the deserving children.

You are welcome to join this humble initiative by becoming Life Members or Sponsors. The Donations to this Registered Trust is covered by Sec 80 G of Income Tax Act for 50% exemption vide order No: CIT/CHN/80G/Tech.4/2012-13.
