About Vidya Foundation
Vidya Foundation (VF), established in 2024 and registered under the Indian Trust Act of 1882, is engaged in creating an inclusive environment that supports the social and economic development of disadvantaged communities. Since its inception, VF has been actively working to ensure equitable access to health, education, and employment for adolescent girls, women, and children with disabilities, who often face barriers such as inadequate educational opportunities, limited access to rehabilitation services, and restricted livelihood options. To address these challenges, VF implements a range of programmes including early identification and early intervention for children with developmental delays and disabilities, women empowerment through Self Help Groups, and awareness initiatives to promote disability prevention and gender equality among adolescent girls. The foundation also focuses on building the capacity of stakeholders to strengthen inclusive development strategies, forming and supporting Disabled People's Organisations (DPOs) and Parent Support Groups to encourage community participation and leadership, and fostering networks with like-minded organisations and government institutions to enhance collaboration, drive systemic change, and ensure alignment with national and global frameworks
